It sort of looks like Explorer is trying to access the FTP site through IE which, as we know, can't do it which is why we're trying to use Explorer in the first place. Any idea how I track down this non-existant proxy? Try ftp://user:passw...@111.222.333.444/ in the Windows Explorer (not IE) Address Bar.

Windows Explorer freeze during file operations.
For two days, Windows Explorer has been unable to show files in the "details" view. Files and folders show up ok in the other views (small icons, big icons, list). The usual bar with headings (file name, size, file type, date), very useful for sorting files, does not show up in any of the views at the moment.
